Government to form Environment protection Agency

The government has signaled its attention to form an Environment Protection Agency (EPA). The name in itself is a problem. If such an agency were required a name of Environmental Standards or Environmental management would be more appropriate.

Chop Down Our native Forests

Twenty years ago I could look over the Herekeno State Forest and it was a solid healthy green. There were not many possums in Northland back then. Today that solid green is now blotched with dead and dying trees, just like the rest of New Zealand.
